Be a part of Clever Tacoma!
A partnership between the Intel Computer Clubhouse of Tacoma and Clever Tacoma provides low-income youth of color with the tools and support they need to become critical thinkers who seek creative solutions to real world problems, embrace computer technology, environmental science and engineering, and promote collaboration, citizenship and leadership.
By providing training in digital technology, mobile computing, and robotic technology it is Clever Tacoma's aim to inspire youth of color to enter the fields of computer technology, science and engineering and to equip them for lifelong success and careers in high tech fields. "Our youth don't just get ideas, they make them," said Luversa Sullivan, Clever Tacoma's Program Director. Luversa, a dedicated community leader, recently received the Helen H. Jackson Woman of Valor Award which was presented to her by Senators Hillary Rodham Clinton and Maria Cantwell.
Clever Tacoma plans to expand its programming in the fall to involve 150 more participants. Your gift of $250 will help make this expansion possible, so please make a donation today! Don't forget the Microsoft match to make your gift go even farther!
Together, we can provide low-income youth of color with the opportunities and encouragement they need to pursue a career in technology and science, making a difference in their lives, the community, and the world.
